All flip-up and modular helmets on the UK and European market have to be ECE 22.05 certified. So they’ve been tested for safety with the chin bar down to a certain level (in what they call P or protective mode). SHARP also jots down if the chin bar locking mechanism unlocks during testing, which ECE doesn’t.

Are fixed full face helmets stronger than modular helmets?
Naturally a fixed full face helmet, intuitively, can be made stronger than a modular helmet, as there are no joints or matches that could break in an impact.
