What do global shapers do?
A grassroots network Born out of the World Economic Forum, the Global Shapers Community is a network of inspiring young people under the age of 30 working together to address local, regional, and global challenges. With more than 13,000 members, the Global Shapers Community spans 448 city-based hubs in 150 countries.
How can you contribute to the World Economic Forum?
Forum Members contribute to the Forum’s mission by actively participating in Regional Meetings, helping foster solutions for Global Challenges, and adding to Industry expertise.

How do I join Global Shapers community?
Please do not submit the application through the official Global Shapers website, we have our own application process. Once applications close, all hub members will be involved with shortlisting candidates for the interview day. On interview day, as a hub, we decide who will be invited to join the Hub.
What is the meaning of shaper?
noun. a person or thing that shapes. a machine tool for forming flat surfaces, consisting of a frame, usually horizontal, on which the work is held while a cutting tool moves along it with a reciprocating motion.
Who can be a global shaper?
Shapers must be between 20 and 29 years old when they are selected to join a Hub. One can remain a Shaper for a total of 5 years, or until they reach 33 years of age.

Global Shapers is an international network of young people connected in our commitment to improving the world, starting with our own communities. My journey as a World Economic Forum Global Shaper began in 2013 in Beijing, almost by accident. I’d co-founded and started to scale Lean In Beijing.
