Why did Leia fly back to the ship?
The human body isn’t designed to survive for long in such an icy, low pressure environment, and most people would have been dead by that point. But Leia managed to instinctually reach out with the Force and cling to life just long enough to make it back to her ship.
Why did Star Wars not get sucked into space?
They clearly have technology which allows objects to pass in and out of a docking bay without the atmosphere getting sucked into space. Such a force-field could have been projected across the doorway allowing the crew to bring in Leia’s body without any being blown into space.

Her eyes open as she regains consciousness, and she pulls herself back to the ship with the Force, barely surviving. Her body remained until Ben died. When Leia died her body still remained with a blanket draped over it yet she was supposedly dead. After Ben saved Rey and brought her back with his life force he dies and disappears.
Can you pull a ship out of hyperspace?
An interdiction field was an artificial gravity well capable of disabling hyperspace maneuvers. Any starship stuck in the middle of an interdiction field became unable to jump into hyperspace. Inversely, such a field could yank a ship out of hyperspace, pulling it out abruptly into normal space.
Why is there fire in space Star Wars?
Gases like oxygen disperse incredibly rapidly in vacuum because molecules at room temperature have a very high velocity. Combustion of the sort shown in Star Wars requires pressure as well as a supply of oxidiser. Space lacks the required pressure.
What killed Leia?
When Leia sensed the duel between Rey and Kylo Ren on Kef Bir, Leia used the Force to reach out to her son across the galaxy and call him by his birth name –Ben. This last act drained Leia of her remaining energy and killed her. Her sacrifice was not in vain, though.

In the Legends timeline, Leia eventually becomes a Jedi Knight under Luke’s guidance. She is also a Jedi in the non-canon Infinities comics, published in the early 2000s. There, Leia wields a purple lightsaber – the color Carrie Fisher once said she would like to have, if Leia were a Jedi.
