Dormitories have a wide variety of rooming arrangements that range from doubles to larger suites. Some have their own bathrooms, but most students share a bathroom with other suites. There are very few singles available.
Do you get your own room in Harvard?
We assign students to suites rather than to specific bedrooms. In almost any suite, you should expect to share a bedroom for at least part of the year. Some dorms contain doubles, usually one fairly large room with a shared bath. All dorms and Harvard Yard are smoke-free.

What are the best places to live near Harvard University?
Nearest grocery store: Star Market, Porter Square. Oxford Street has some of the Harvard graduate schools and dormitories, such as the GSAS dorms (where I lived during my time at Harvard). Plus it’s right next to Harvard Law School. Go north and you will find a lot of good Harvard off campus housing, between Mass Ave and Somerville Avenue.

Where is the center of the Harvard campus?
Harvard Square is sort of the center of the Harvard university campus. It’s right in between the Harvard Yard, all the Harvard schools, business school campus and college dormitories. Plus, it’s near the gym, and you’ll basically be going to Harvard Square everyday anyway.
Does Harvard University offer tours on campus?
While this means we’re not offering tours on campus right now, you can still visit us virtually. Harvard University established the Visitor Center in 1962 as the front door to the University, where students typically greet visitors from all over the world, provide the Official Historical Tour of Harvard, and answer questions about campus.
