What happens after ILP in TCS Quora?
I still remember the day when I joined TCS back in March 2018. There are primarily two types of ILP offerings in TCS. One being the fact that your base location will be same as that of your work location after the ILP. Other being that your work location will change after your ILP.
What TCS teach in ILP?
ILP stand for initial learning program, It is a 3 month training program given to fresh graduates after they join TCS. During this period of time they are trained in some particular technology, like JAVA, Mainframe, . NET, Unix etc..
What is the ILP in TCS like?
You will also get chance to work on a live project and you will be graded on that project. The ILP in TCS is also known as “The Honeymoon Period” as you get chance to visit a new city, make new friends, enjoy and preserve lots of good memories without lot of worries and tension for work.
What is the next step after ILP?
Well after completion your ILP you need to report to your respective IOU/ISU RMG (Resource Management Group) in your base location. Basically RMG’s are the people who will share your profile for getting you into some project. So RMG will ask you to attend project interview. Development and Maintenance projects involves lot of coding.
What is it like to learn technology during ILP?
During ILP you will have to learn a technology and do some small project in team. I emphasised on the word ‘learn’ because here no will come and teach you. Learning there is digital, they have prepared courses.
What is the duration of an ILP course?
Normal duration of ILP is 60 working days. 35 working days of essential training on technical and business skills followed by 25 working days of project work. More than 95\% of the students get through the training at first attempt. The training is conducted in quite an easy and relaxed way.
