How did Gon get so strong?
Gon is an Enhancer, and is thus endowed with great strength and recuperative abilities. Thanks to Biscuit’s training he has trained in at least two other Nen types, Emission and Transmutation, which he later honed to a high enough level to create working Nen abilities.

Is Gon one of the strongest hunters?
Known to have limitless potential, Gon is already an extremely strong Hunter, despite being just a rookie. By the end of the series, Gon will grow to be one of the strongest known characters, and in doing so, he’ll surpass many powerful Hunters who are currently levels above him.
Does Gon get stronger than hisoka?
Hisoka, also known as The Magician, is one of the most powerful Hunters in the series. Using his aura in conjunction with his skills in Nen, Hisoka becomes strong enough to defeat even the most seasoned Hunters. Without nen, Gon won’t be able to fight against Nen users. As was seen in the Heaven’s Arena arc, the only way to defend against Nen is with Nen, and without it even relatively weak attacks will kill or cripple you.

So it’s very unlikely he’ll ever become near that powerful again, as it wasn’t him as an adult as it was all of his future potential being used at one point. Currently Gon can’t even use nen. The adult form is rather interesting though. It’s not literally what Gon will look like as an Adult.

What is the relationship between Gon and Ging?
There really is no blood-related or even distant-related connection between them. The only thing that relates them per se is that Hisoka knows about Ging since he is a highly skilled hunter, one of the top five Nen users in the world and the bear of the Zodiac group. I think we can all agree, Gon’s old man is bad ass.
