Can you get demoted USACO?
Can you ever be “demoted” from a division? No! Once you’re promoted, you’ll be in that division as long as you keep using your www.usaco.org account – until you get promoted again, of course!
How many points do you need to pass USACO bronze?
The cutoff scores to pass Bronze, Silver or Gold Division are roughly between 700 and 800 points, indicating passing 21 to 24 test cases out of 30.
How are USACO contests scored?
USACO contests are scored out of 1000 points. Recent contests each have three equally weighted problems; that is, each problem is worth. 1000/3 = 333.333 \dots 1000/3=333.333… points.
How do I submit a problem with USACO?
When you are on the page of a USACO problem, there’s a pull down menu at the bottom of the problem description for the language of your solution and a second button where you click to upload your source file. After you do that, just it the “Submit Solution” button.
How do I become a USACO IOI team member?
To be eligible for selection as a USACO finalist and ultimately as an IOI team member, you must be enrolled in a high school (or junior high/middle school) for at least one semester in the school year before the IOI. You can concurrently take courses at other institutions, including colleges and universities.
Who is not eligible to be a USACO finalist?
IOI team members from countries other than the USA are not eligible to be USACO finalists (and this includes students who have made commitments to other countries that could conceivably result in their being selected for an IOI team prior to USACO camp).

Does USACO pay for training?
Expenses for the USACO training camp are paid by the USACO, although participants are asked to fund their own transportation to the camp if possible. For the IOI, all expenses, including transportation, are paid by USACO.
