Can you cast spells at any time?
Timing can be everything. In the case of an instant, you might cast it at the end of your opponent’s turn, or you might cast it during combat, in your main phase, in the upkeep, or at any of a dozen different points!
Does using a magic item count as casting a spell?
Using a magic item to cast a spell is its own unique action type. Jeremy Crawford has said via Twitter that casting spells from magic items (scrolls, wands, staves, etcetera) is neither a Use an Object/Item nor a Cast a Spell action.
Can you cast spells secretly 5E?
If you are a sorcerer you can use subtle spell to cast without being noticed, while other casters have no official way to do so. Unless you are being directly observed it makes sense that you would be able to cast some spells without drawing attention to yourself.

Is casting a copy the same as casting a spell?
To copy a spell, activated ability, or triggered ability means to put a copy of it onto the stack; a copy of a spell isn’t cast and a copy of an activated ability isn’t activated. (See rule 601, “Casting Spells.”) Choices that are normally made on resolution are not copied.

You are casting a spell through the wand, so the spell is a valid target for metamagics.

It appears that the general rule for bonus action spell casting still holds true for using magic wands. As the user is the one casting the spell, they are limited to the use of wands that produce cantrip spells, if they have already cast a spell with their bonus action.

The text from Somatic reads that the caster must have a hand free to gesture with when they cast a spell with a somatic component. None of the conditions such as restrained or grappled seem to restrict hand motion.

The restrained condition doesn’t prohibit any actions (apart from movement over distance) so yes, any spell can be cast while restrained.
Do Artificers need war caster?
As an artificer, all your spells have a material component so warcaster doesn’t change anything in that regard. You still need one hand to manipulate the material component (your armour in this case) even with warcaster.

While actually wielding a two-handed weapon, or a weapon and a shield, you normally won’t be able to cast spells with somatic components. However, in the two-handed case, you can release the grip on the weapon with one hand in order to cast.
How many spells can a dragon cast in DND?
A young or older dragon can innately cast a number of Spells equal to its Charisma modifier. Each spell can be cast once per day, requiring no material Components, and the spell’s level can be no higher than one-third the dragon’s Challenge rating (rounded down).
Can a monster cast a higher level spell?
Note that Monsters may cast spells using a higher slot if one is available and if that spell allows casting at a higher spell level.
