Are CBSE and ISC Books same?

As declared by Arathoon, the reformed ISC syllabus of physics, chemistry, biology and maths in class 11 and 12 will exactly match with that of CBSE board. Since CBSE schools follow NCERT text books; now, the ISC board will also use the NCERT books as reference along with the ISC recommended books.

Can NCERT be used for ISC?

You can use 𝙉𝘾𝙀𝙍𝙏 books as 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 for class 12 ISC. The textbooks of 𝙉𝙊𝙊𝙏𝘼𝙉, 𝙏𝙊𝙏𝘼𝙇 are very helpful for the ISC. If you want to enhance your skill you can go for NCERT as a reference book in ISC. 𝙉𝘾𝙀𝙍𝙏 books are of great help for class 10 and 12 𝘾𝘽𝙎𝙀 𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙡𝙮.

Are ISC books better than NCERT?

No. Just NCERT books are not enough for all ISc boards. There’re only some states like Rajasthan, who have NCERT as their course syllabus. If you’re preparing for some national level competitive entrance examination, then NCERTs are enough to study if you go through it thoroughly.

Is NCERT Biology enough for ISC?

For the ISC exam per se, the standard books recommended by the board are preferable (Nootan Biology and/or S. Chand publication’s ISC Biology by Sarita Aggarwal). However, I’d suggest picking the NCERT books first and have your basics cleared there, and then treat the aforementioned books as reference books.
