What is passing year for improvement exam?
Every year Cbse conduct improvement exams with it’s regular board exams. And if you pass in improvement exam then your passing year is that year in which you passed the improvement. Hope it Helps. If you are giving improvement exam of class 12 in 2019 then your passing year will be 2019 only.
Can I give improvement exam after 1 year gap?
Note: You can appear for improvement exams only in the consecutive year after appearing for 12th boards. You cannot give improvement exams after taking one year gap.

IMprovement exam is CBSE BOARDS EXAM which you can give if and only if you have PASSED in your 12th boards in all subject but you are not satisfied with your marks and want to re-appear for the exam to improve them. You can appear in improvemnet exam only in the subsequent year of your 12th boards.Not after that.
