What is a HSL code?

HSL stands for hue, saturation, and lightness. HSLA color values are an extension of HSL with an Alpha channel (opacity).

Is HSV and HSI the same?

For the most part, these two are interchangeable, but generally HSV and HSL use the piece-wise model, where HSI usually uses the arctan model. Different equations may be used, but these usually sacrifice precision for either simplicity or faster computation.

Which is better HSV or RGB?

RGB color space describes colors in terms of the amount of red, green, and blue present. HSV color space describes colors in terms of the Hue, Saturation, and Value. In situations where color description plays an integral role, the HSV color model is often preferred over the RGB model.
