- Morning runs of 20-kilometres (12.4 miles).
- Night marches of 20-kilometres (12.4 miles) carrying a 60 kg (132 lb) load.
- Conduct training with live ammunition.
- Once per week, conduct a march of 120 kilometres carrying a 60 kg (132 lb) load in a specified time limit.
No matter you are engineer or a troop , to apply for Marcos you have to be a part of Indian navy first . Here is selection procedure . Heading to the recruitment of MARCOS, all commandos are male and being a naval fragment all its personal.
Can I join MARCOS after CDS?
Exams to join MARCOS: Candidates can also join the Indian navy as an officer through NDA Exam, CDS Exam and INET officer exam.

Where is Abhimanyu?
Mumbai
INS Abhimanyu, located in Mumbai, was the base where MARCOS was formed. It is named after Abhimanyu, a character from the epic Mahābhārata. The base is a part of the Western Naval Command.
Final year students of BE/B Tech programs like- Mechanical/Civil/ Electronics/Power/Marine/Aerospace/Aeronautical/Electrical/Metallurgy/Production/IC/Telecommunications/Mechatronics/Control Engineering or B Arch, Naval Architecture are eligible to apply. Candidates must have minimum 60\% marks up to 6th semester.
