Service Dress Blue may be worn year-round, while Service Dress White is reserved for summer or tropical zones. An all-weather overcoat or reefer coat may be worn with service dress uniforms in cold or inclement weather.

When can you wear navy blue dress uniform?
Full Dress Blue Uniforms are worn for several formal occasions, including participation in a Change of Command ceremony, official visits with honors (per Navy Regulations), visits of ceremony to Foreign Men-of-War and Foreign Officials, and occasions of State, Ceremonies, and Solemnities.
Can I wear my dress blues on leave?
When traveling on leave, TAD or transfer, service dress blues may be worn during any season.
Can you wear Eisenhower with summer whites?
For the Summer White Uniform, specific items authorized for wear are as follows: (1) Relaxed fit jacket (Eisenhower / Ike) (without shoulder insignia).
Metal badges will be worn on all uniforms (see Navy Working Uniform wear below), centered one quarter of an inch above the right breast pocket or nametag, as applicable (figure 5101.3j-3).
While in uniform, wristwatches/smartwatches and fitness trackers will be conservative and not present a uniform distraction. Only one wristwatch/smartwatch or fitness tracker and one bracelet may be worn simultaneously (one on each wrist) while in uniform.
