What is Gau Seva?
Haryana Gau Seva Aayog or HGSA is a state government organisation that works under Haryana Government for registering and regulating grants for gaushalas, conservation and protection of cows. Haryana Gau Seva was setup in under 2010 act in legislative assembly by Governor of Haryana.
Why are Indian cows protected?
In the late 19th century, especially in northern India, a movement to protect cows arose that strove to unify Hindus and distinguish them from Muslims by demanding that the government ban cow slaughter.

Is killing cows illegal in India?
