How can I pay my British Council bill online?
A: Once you choose the option “pay offline”, it is no longer possible to pay online. For you to pay online, we will need to cancel your registration, then ask you to register again and make a payment during the registration this time. Please contact us at [email protected].
Can we book IELTS exam without payment?
In-person – You can register in person at the British Council office or an IDP India office. You may download the online form or fill in a paper application at the office. You will be required to pay the fee through credit card/debit card, demand draft, or ICICI bank deposit slip.
How do I pay for British Council IELTS?

Can I register for IELTS twice?
You can give it for as many as times you want. IELTS exam is conducted every month for 2 – 3 times. So you can book your exam dates in a same month as well but it is normally advised that you should not appear for the exam no closer than once in a period of two months.

What happens if I don’t pay the IELTS registration fee?
If you don’t pay the registration fee, your IELTS booking is not confirmed and usually the IELTS slots fill up so quickly that you have to register them for next month. So its recommended to register for IELTS at least 3 weeks in advance and do it when you think you preparation is great.
Is there any way to cancel registration after 3 attempts?
No, if you have exceeded 3 attempt there is no other way, if not you can try to pay again after 30 minutes. If former is the case you have to wait for 3 days to get the registration to get cancelled automatically and then you can start the process again.
What happens if I can’t pay for the exam on time?
Not being able to pay the fee on time will result in a cancellation of the test with an email from British Council informing you about the same. This will also result in you losing out the test centre which you opted. Therefore, its advised to pay at the same time as later some candidates forget the fact that they have yet to pay.
How do I resit an IELTS test?
Check your email 2 days before the test date. The email will confirm you about the test venue and any last minute notification on the venue change.If you didn’t get the IELTS score you wanted, you can apply to resit the test as soon as you feel ready.
