Does praying for something to happen work?
Research consistently shows that prayer can have numerous benefits. Clearly, people pray because it makes them feel better, or makes them feel hope, or makes them feel love, or makes them feel just a welcomed hair shy of being utterly powerless.
Can Praying make things happen?
A prayer has the power to potentially change any situation, even the most challenging one, in miraculous ways. In fact, God may even choose to send angels into our lives to answer our prayers.
How do you pray on something?
So, to pray on a decision means to share my situation or struggle with God and ask for guidance. Of course, that is also thinking deeply, but it is more. For some people, an ‘answer’ seems to come in a tangible way, whether it is a strong feeling about the right direction or an internal sense of direction.
Does praying to God help?
Prayer helps you develop a relationship with God Just like your parents here on earth, your Heavenly Father wants to hear from you and talk to you. When you pray, He listens. Then He answers your prayers in the form of thoughts, spiritual feelings, scripture, or even the actions of other people.
Is waiting and praying alone all God asks us to do?
I won’t dismiss the wild things God calls us to that don’t always make sense to everyone else. I’ve been there myself many times, standing in prayer when others gave up. It can feel isolating and confusing. It tests your fortitude and faith. Yet, waiting and praying alone isn’t all God asks us to do.
What does it mean to wait?
To wait is simply to stay in place in expectation of something. We do it all the time on the phone with customer service, in lines, and at red lights. It seems like most of our day is taken up by waiting but we just can’t stand it.
Is “no means an unanswered prayer”?
We have to stop thinking is that no means an unanswered prayer. A parent who gives their child everything they want spoils them to no end and when it’s time for that child to be on their own they’ll be looking around for someone to take care of them because they are unable to stand on their own. But our heavenly father is much different.
