Can parents stay in VIT Vellore?

The stay can be either at parents’ home or an authorised local guardian’s home. However, if the parent or authorised local guardian arrives in person at the hostel, the hosteller can go with them on leave any number of times in a month.
Is there ragging at Vit?
VIT gives immense emphasis on maintaining a ragging free campus. If any student has any grievance, including any kind of harassment, the same can be brought to the notice of the Chairperson or any of the Committee Members from various schools, for necessary action and redressal.
Is there a dress code for girls in VIT?
There is no official dress code, but women students wearing short sleeved or sleeveless tops, jeans, or pants that are slightly above the ankle are made to change into more ‘modest’ clothing, so they can “be safe from the boys”.
