The main reason why Sun and Moon got so much hate initially was only because it happened just after arguably the best series of Pokemon ever- XY and Z. Almost everything in the XYZ series was Perfect! The animation, battles, team flare arc, shipping etc. Even Ash’s character was a badass there.
