Why do we believe in life and death?
We think life is just the activity of carbon and an admixture of molecules: we live awhile and then rot into the ground. We believe in death because we’ve been taught we die. Also, of course, because we associate ourselves with our body and we know bodies die. End of story.

Dead people are not out to scare the living. In fact, generally, the very nature of their presence means they want to help you with something. Some deceased, now without a job or anything to occupy their time – seek to assist the living and be helpful in some way.
Do dead people have messages for the living?
Some do, but most deceased people aren’t hanging around because of something unresolved on Earth. In fact, while many deceased do have messages for the living, they aren’t being held behind because of it – just like you aren’t being held behind in your life, simply because if you had the opportunity, you’d have a few words for a former partner.
Why do some people say you only live once?
People that say you only live once are saying some souls get to live just one life as a worm, and that is it for all of eternity. Other people believe you are judged by a god after you die.
