While Member Fees do exist at Copart, no fees are hidden from our Members, and the list can be accessed at any time. It is important for Members to educate themselves on which fees are relevant to them and what to expect before placing a bid on a vehicle.
Do Copart cars run?
Run and Drive When a vehicle arrives at a Copart yard, Copart confirms that the vehicle starts, can be put into gear and can move forward under its own power. The term Run and Drive was put in place to ensure that Copart Members understand the condition of the vehicle they are bidding on.
How long does Copart delivery take?

Does Copart buy cars from insurance companies?
A common question we get is “is this like a police auction?” And our answer is… kind of. Copart’s inventory is mainly composed of wrecked cars from insurance companies, but we also have some consumers who sell their clean title vehicles through us as well.
What does exempt mean on Copart?
When a car is sold in this scenario, the mileage is marked on the title as “exempt.” This is simply stating that the car has been around too long to reliably verify its mileage.
How much is Copart storage fee?
All purchases must be removed from the location of storage within 5 business days, including the day of sale, for winning virtual auction bidders OR within 3 business days, including day of sale, for winning kiosk, live bidders or Buy It Now purchases to avoid a storage fee of $20.00 per day.
