Install Group Policy Management Console. Right-click the Start button and choose “ Control Panel “. (Or you can use this neat trick to open the settings via CMD). Select “Programs”. From the “Programs and Features” section, select “Turn Windows features on or off”.
How do you enable Group Policy Editor?
Enable Group Policy Editor in Windows. That’s all there is to do. From this point forward, you can use Windows Group Policy Editor by typing gpedit.msc in the Run dialog box (Win + R).
How to access group policy edit?
Step 1: Right-tap the lower-left corner on the desktop to open the Quick Access Menu, and open Run.
Step 2: Enter gpedit.msc and click OK.
Step 1: Press Windows+X to open the Quick Access Menu, and choose Search.
Step 2: On the Search panel, enter group policy in the box and click Edit group policy.
Step 1: Open the Quick Access Menu with Windows+X, and click Command Prompt.
Download Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) from this link.
Right-click on the downloaded zip file then selects Extract here.
You will see a Setup.exe where you extracted the archive.
Right-click on the Setup.exe and select Run as Administrator.
Now,without closing the setup file,if you have 64-bit Windows,you will need to follow the below steps. a.
Continue with the installation but at the last step,don’t click on Finish and don’t close the installer.
Navigate to C:\\Windows\\Temp\\gpedit\\folder,then right-click on x86.bat (For 32bit Windows Users) or x64.bat (For 64bit Windows Users) and Open it with Notepad.
In the Notepad,you will find 6 string lines containing the following: \%username\%:f
You need to replace \%username\%:f with “\%username\%”:f (Including the quotes).
Once finished,save the file and make sure to run the file as Administrator.
