As a residential college, Roanoke students are required to live on campus, space permitting, during their full four years as a student, unless they meet one or more of the following criteria: have received and accepted prior approval by the Residence Life & Housing Office and are currently living off-campus.
Does Roanoke College have coed dorms?
With the exception of two all-female halls, the halls are co-ed by alternating floor, room/suite, or wing. There are 27 residence halls on campus, 8 of which are designated Greek housing. Moreover, there are countless opportunities to get involved in your residence hall and on campus.

East of Academy Street and Perkins Student Center, you can find East campus, home to two-thirds of the University’s first-year population. North of the Memorial Hall and the Little Bob, you’ll find Laird Campus, home to all of our suite-style rooms.
