Naval Armament Inspection (NAI) Officers are the specialist officers responsible for Inspection & Quality Assurance (QA), in-house R&D, life extension and life assessment to ensure safety, serviceability and functional reliability of Armaments in the inventory of Indian Navy.
Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable by maximum 04 years in 02 steps (02 years + 02 years) subject to Service requirements, performance, medical eligibility and willingness of the candidate. Officer joining under this scheme will not be eligible for grant of Permanent Commission.
