Is RIT a dry campus?
At RIT, alcohol is not allowed in the residence halls, Global Village, or in Greek housing, regardless of student age. Alcohol possession and consumption, however, is allowed in University apartments when the student is at least 21 years of age, as well as in two licensed bars on campus.
How do I drop a class at RIT?
The easiest way to drop a class during Add/Drop week is to use the ‘drop’ function in SIS. Full instructions on how to drop a class in SIS can be found online. Students may also drop classes in-person via an advising walk-in, or at the RIT Office of the Registrar.
What is a passing grade RIT?
Pass – A grade of “pass” in an undergraduate course indicates that the student achieved a grade of D or higher. A grade of “P” carries course credit but does not affect the calculation of quality points or GPA. Waived courses – those courses eliminated from the list of requirements that a student must take to graduate.
Is RIT a pretty campus?
RIT does not feel like a 15,000 student school. The campus is pretty dead and you hardly see people out and about on campus except during changing time. RIT is not really well integrated to the Rochester community. It is not in the city proper but in a suburb (Henrietta) near some strip malls.

Can an FWS student apply for a job at an RIT School?
RIT does not assign or place students into positions, regardless of their FWS status. Students are expected to find, apply, and interview for job openings on their own. Gain valuable job search and work experience before applying to co-op and career opportunities.
How do I make an appointment through RIT career connect?
Appointments can be made through RIT Career Connect at https://rit-csm.symplicity.com/students/index.php. You must submit one document from List ‘A’ OR one document from List ‘B’ AND one document from List ‘C.’ All papers must be original.
