W3schools is a a resource site. Sure it might have errors and that is due to the fact that the code and content is written awhile back when the website layouts were simple. I personally like simple and to the point. Too many sites are full of images and flashy videos and many look great.

Their use of inline CSS is nonsensical and doesn’t seem to have method to its madness. It also looks like some of it is injected with JavaScript. There are tons of elements on w3schools that have inline styles and those same elements often have classes and IDs that apply CSS from external style sheets.
