How can I join IMO in USA?
In the United States, the team is selected through the American Mathematics Competitions, which are open to all high school students. The top scorers in the AMC 10 and AMC 12 are invited to the American Invitational Mathematics Examination.
How many students are there in an IMO competition?
Each participating country can send up to six students to compete at an IMO. Each participating country has an organization responsible for selecting its team. This varies from country to country; it might be the Ministry of Education, or a Mathematical Society, or an Educational Charity.
Who is the most successful IMO?
IMO was held in Taipei, Taiwan. 76 countries were represented. There were 37 gold medals, 67 silver medals, and 102 bronze medals awarded. Top scorer was Omid Amini (Iran) with a perfect score of 42. Melanie Wood became the first female representing the United States.
How many dates will the SOF IMO be conducted?
SOF IMO will be conducted on three dates, as under. A school may select one date to conduct the SOF IMO as per it’s convenience. DATE ONE – 4th & 5th December 2021 DATE TWO – 24th & 26th December 2021
