Does the military teach you respect?
Respect is earned. Military school students are taught to address adults and individuals in positions of authority with respect and courtesy. They are also taught to treat their peers in the same way they would expect to be treated. Respect for others is not just a way to maintain a civil society.

Why do we respect the military?
Respect backs the ideals and leadership within any chain of command. Respect is important in the design of the military system itself. You have to automatically trust and do what higher ranking cadet, or any cadre member says because they hold power and most likely have more experience then you.

On Veterans Day, we honor our Nation’s veterans, who have given so much to protect our freedoms and the freedom of others around the globe. While we can never fully repay the debt we owe these heroes, we will honor their service and provide them the care and support they deserve.
