Can guys hug each other?
In America today, it’s increasingly uncommon for guys to hug other guys unless they’re related, and/or they’re really close friends and there’s a major emotional event going on. I think the reason, basically, is that physical touch has been overly sexualized in American society. Some guys do, some guys don’t.
Can straight guys hug?
Humans are innately oriented to give and share touching – and straight guys are human males. Is it ok for straight guys to hug and be physical with each other? Of course. It’s up to each individual, but giving a hug, or even a bro hug (with one arm) is harmless.
