Why is the 3G network shutting down?
According to the Federal Communication Commission (FCC), mobile carriers are shutting down their 3G networks, which rely on older technology, to make room for more advanced network services like 5G. The 3G technology was first created about 20 years ago to carry cellphone signals as devices grew rapidly in popularity.
