Do you need to clear JEE Advanced to get into IIT?
In order to get into IITs you have to appear for both JEE Main and Advanced exam. You have to qualify JEE Main exam first then you have to clear JEE Advanced exam.
Is qualifying JEE Advanced mean?
Qualifying in jee advanced means that you will a get a rank in common rank list. It does not generally ensure that you will definately get a seat in any IITs. If you qualify then you will be eligible for counseling for IITs. Generally pre fixed cutoff is 35\% marks for general category.
