What should I take in highschool to become an aerospace engineer?
High school students interested in studying aerospace engineering should take courses in chemistry, physics, and mathematics, including algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. Entry-level aerospace engineers usually need a bachelor’s degree.
What do you need to study to become an aerospace engineer?
For admission in Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, basic eligibility criteria is PCM in Class 12. For admission in top engineering colleges of India, one must obtain a good rank in JEE mains and JEE advanced. For getting a license in Aircraft maintenance engineering, clearing exams under DGCA is important.
What skills do you need to be an aerospace engineer?
Key skills for aeronautical engineers
- strong mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills.
- technical expertise.
- creativity and innovative thinking.
- attention to detail.
- a strong awareness of safety issues.
- communication skills, both verbal and written.
- project and time management skills.
What classes do you take to become an aerospace engineer?
Aerospace engineering requires advanced science and math skills. Take classes in chemistry, physics, algebra, calculus, and trigonometry in high school to get a head-start on developing the skills you’ll need. Put your best effort into these classes so you can earn high marks.
Is it possible to become an aerospace engineer after 10th?
No. After 10 th you can’t become aerospace engineer. For that you have to take PCM in 11th and 12th and then clear Jee Mains and Advance ( if interested in IIT) to search for a good college. I’m in 8th grade and I want to work at NASA and I’m interested in aerospace engineering.
Why did you choose aerospace engineering as a career?
The reason why I chose Aerospace Engineering as the career I want to pursue would be because I am always interested in flight as a child and teen both aircraft and space travel. Some of my favorite toys and hobbies included model airplanes, model rocketry, paper airplanes, and Lego’s, which is basically the toy of future engineers.
Is a professional engineer’s license worth it for aerospace engineers?
Yes! A professional Engineer’s license opens up many doors for your career as an aerospace engineer. It requires passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and the Professional Engineering (PE) exam, but it’s worth it if you want to climb the ladder at your firm.
