What is the Florida State summer offer?
Students start their FSU experience in the summer by completing a course offered through FSU International Programs. Students will be elligible to start at the FSU Tallahassee campus the following August. More information on this program is available on the International Programs website.
Does FSU require a summer session?
Required Summer Attendance Policy All students entering a state university with fewer than sixty semester credit hours must earn at least nine semester hours prior to graduation by attending one or more Summer terms at one of the state universities.
How many classes can you take in the summer FSU?
The typical course load for a summer term is two courses or 6 semester hours, but you may take up to 9 semester hours. Your advisor during Orientation can help you decide how many hours to take.
Are summer classes online at FSU?
We look forward to having more students on campus this summer, and we will have a robust offering of in-person classes as well as hybrid, flex, and online classes. One of the highlights at the start of the fall semester is New Student Convocation, a ceremony that introduces students to FSU’s traditions and values.
What is a summer admit?
It is common for our colleges to admit students for the Summer Term, even if the original application was for the Fall. This practice gives students additional flexibility to participate in summer programs and enroll in courses.
What happens if I fail a class at FSU?
Failure to achieve or maintain the appropriate grade point average (GPA) will result in a loss of registration privileges and dismissal from the University. Non-degree seeking students may register for any course or courses on an S/U basis.
Can you retake a class at FSU?
Current students will have one academic year to repeat a course normally eligible for application of the Forgiveness Policy with the option to petition their Academic Dean, after the 7th week of the semester in which the course is being repeated, to drop the first attempt reflecting a WD grade.
Is FSU Summer Online 2021?
All courses at FSU this summer will be held online, including Summer Session C. While it is disappointing that we cannot offer in-person classes or housing on campus this summer, FSU is diligently working to support all our students and ensure they receive a top-notch education.
