Is it useful to learn Haskell?
Haskell offers you a new perspective on programming, it is powerful, and it is fun. The type system behind Haskell is a great tool for writing specifications that catch many coding errors. Your Haskell understanding will influence the way you look at programming: you will start to appreciate abstraction.
Where can I practice Haskell?
You can check out H-99: Ninety-Nine Haskell Problems . You can also practice on Codeforces or Sphere Online Judge (SPOJ) , both of them have a lot of nice problems and they both support Haskell. You can try monthly fp contest at HackerRank/lambda-calculi .
Is mastering really necessary?
If you want your songs to sound their best and to compete with the commercial productions out there, mastering is absolutely essential. The fact is, learning how to master your music properly will dramatically impact every song you put out there.
What is the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing creates a balance among the tracks and creates them into a cohesive whole whereas mastering takes that music arrangement and gives it a final finish. So, you can mix without mastering the sound but you can not perform mastering before mixing. Mixing gives you access to every musical instrument track in a song individually.
What do most clients look for in a mastering process?
Most clients who are looking for mastering have a full album or release. The process for an album is similar to what I’ve described above, except that with a release, I also pay close attention to the gain levels of each song, in relation to each of the other songs on the album.
How long does it take to master a song?
Rather than go deep into the science and theory of mastering, I will provide a high level description of the mastering process applied here at JustMastering.com. The entire mastering process can take anywhere from one to four hours per song, and much of that time can often be consultation time with the producer and mix engineer.
