Is it safe to drive from Oregon to California in winter?
Yes you can drive up 101 from California to Oregon. THere shouldn’t be snow on 101, at least in Oregon-I’m not familiar with 101 in California. It rarely snows on the coast. The problem might be going over the coast range from hwy 101 to Portland.
Is it safe to drive from Seattle to California in December?
The coastal drive (highway US-101) should be fine. At sea level snow is rare. But if the storm hits that means driving in the rain, and may be gusty winds at times. Slow go.
