How is mess food at IIMS?

Mess is by far one of the most economical and hygienic options on the campus. One of the reasons some students don’t subscribe to mess food after a couple of months of joining is the hectic schedule. We often used to get up late and rush to our classrooms, leaving no time for breakfast :P.

Is food free in IIM?

It is compulsory. So irrespective of whether you eat a single morsel in the mess/canteen, if you are on campus you are billed for the mess. The only exception I am aware of is IIM Ahmedabad which made mess subscription optional a few years back.

Why is there a mess committee?
