Emotional intelligence is a construct and, consequently, difficult to measure. It’s not as though we can pick up a block of emotional intelligence and measure it on a scale; instead, we need to devise questions that reliably tap into this concept.
Do counsellors use the same techniques for each client?
A qualified counsellor would have been trained in many different techniques and theorists. Until a counsellor works alongside their client they will not know which technique is best for each individual client. As each client should be unique and require individual tailoring.
