Candidates have to participate in ICAR & JRF Entrance Exam with graduation for PG Admission of Agricultural Statistics and Computer for IASRI. They provide placement programs through the ARS Exam. The cut off percentage of ICAR is 50\% for general and 40\% for SC/ST/PC candidates.

Hennry Phipps, a US citizen, Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) was established at Pusa. On 1st April 1904 foundation of Agricultural Research Institute was laid by Lord Curzon, the Viceroy and governor General of India. The main building was popularly called as Phipps laboratory or Naulakha.

Why is it called Pusa?
The name Pusa Institute is derived from the fact that the institute was originally located in Pusa Bihar as the Imperial Institute of Agricultural Research in 1911. The IARI was responsible for the research leading to the “Green Revolution in India” of the 1970s.
