You can help translate Coursera videos by joining the GTC. We use a third-party platform called Smartling to enable translation projects. Before you start translating Coursera materials, you’ll be prompted by Smartling to authorize authentication. You will be able to proceed to the Smartling platform once you approve.

Crowdsourcing is a practice that engages a community for one common goal – to translate the product on a volunteer basis into several languages. You, as a volunteer translator, can do translations through Crowdin and help the organization with the localization process.
Do TED translators have to be fluent?
Volunteer translators should be fluently bilingual in both source and target languages. Volunteer transcribers should be fluent in the transcription language. Volunteer translators and transcribers should be knowledgeable of subtitling best practices.
