Why some stocks are not available on Zerodha?
The following are the reasons why you may not be seeing the shares you’ve purchased: The shares that you have bought are delisted: ` ”Delisting” of a security or a stock means removing shares of a listed company from the stock exchange. The company may no longer be traded in that exchange due to de-listing.
Is pledging of shares good or bad in Zerodha?
Once your shares are pledged, you will not be able to sell them until you unpledge them. If dividends are issued during the period of pledge, it will be credited to Zerodha’s bank account, which we will credit to your trading account.

The stocks will be available in DEMAT for trading the day after. Note: 1) You will be able to unpledge your pledged holdings only to the extent of the unused collateral. In such cases, you will either have to bring in cash or square off your position to be able to unpledge your pledged holdings.
How do I authorize pledge in Zerodha?
Visit the holdings page on Console . In the holdings table, hover the cursor on the stock you want to pledge and click on ‘options’ and select pledge for margins . Once you do, you will get a pop-up, which will show how much margins you will be eligible for.
You will be able to track your pledged holdings in the ‘Statement of transaction’ provided by CDSL. In the statement of transaction, you will find the pledged shares as a ‘Debit’.
Can I pledge index funds in Zerodha?
Please note the collateral varies based on the price of the security. The cost of pledging at Zerodha is Rs 30 + GST per pledge request. There is no cost for un-pledging.
